Required ingredients to make Mutton karahi:
1. One chopped red onion
2. mutton(2.5 lbs) on the bone (cut in pieces)
3.2tablespoonsn of ginger & garlic paste
4. handful of cilantro leaves for garnish
5.4-5 chopped tomatoes
6.1 1/2 tablespoon red chili in powder form
7.1 1/2 tablespoon cumin powder
8. ginger "julienne" (sliced thinly) for garnish
9.1 1/4 tablespoon salt or to taste
10.3/4 cup of oil you need
11.2 cups of clean water
12.2 tablespoon coriander powder
13.1/2 cup yogurt
14.2 green chilies
Instructions for preparing Mutton karahi:
- Take a big pot and add some oil and onions
- Fry the onions in oil until they turned brown
- Now add meat and leave it for 8-10 minutes
- Add the ginger, and garlic paste and mix properly
- Add ground spices and salt and mix properly for 5 minutes
- Add the chopped tomatoes
- Add yogurt
- Mix properly
- Pour in water and leave it on low heat for 2 hours and 15 minutes
- Now check if the oil is separated
- Add the green chili
- Add garnishes
- leave on lower hear up to 30 minutes.
- Now it's time to serve it with a fresh tandoori naan because it's ready
